Since the beginning of the activity in 2009, we study methodologies, techniques and methods that can improve users’ digital interaction for searching, managing and disseminating information in a digital environment.
Today, the innovation policy is based on the 2013 Action Plan, which establishes a new research line:
Line 1: Gamification mechanics to improve knowledge management processes
Can game mechanics improve information retrieval or knowledge sharing? In Compartia, innovation technicians think about questions such as this every day.
Within this research line we study the behavioral psychology of employees, the motivation based on reward models and gamification mechanics in productivity sectors, to apply it to the definition of knowledge management models in work environment.

A few months ago, we started up a new project on gamification and culture: BadgeCulture, a project to motivate citizen engagement in cultural tourism activities through a gamified certification system
Responsible Research and Innovation (RR&I)
We go for a open and cooperative innovation, other agents in our environment can benefit from this. In line with what the European Commission has denominate Responsible Research and Innovation (RR&I), we evaluate mechanisms in order to disseminate our research findings to scientific community, through our Twitter @CompartiaSL.
